This winter, many of the children we work with and the care leavers we support will go without the things that make the season special. That’s why, in partnership with the Birmingham Children’s Trust, we’re launching a campaign to bring comfort, joy, and friendship. This overall campaign is built on friendship. Every year, we’re reminded how lucky we are to have so many friends across the city, partners, businesses, community leaders, and individuals, who come together to make sure no child or young person is forgotten.
We are providing two ways that you can support us this Christmas:
1 – Light up a Birmingham child’s Christmas – Virtual Christmas Tree
You can buy a light or the star on the top of our Virtual Christmas Tree. All money raised will go towards a Christmas Day meal, party and transport for Birmingham care leavers and their own children.

2 – Donate new toys or wellness items for children and young people
We are appealing for donations of new toys and/or wellness items such as new toiletries, personal wash items such as shower gel, dental care, such as toothbrushes, and winter clothing, such as hats and scarves. All items will be given to children and young people that are supported by Birmingham Children’s Trust.
CLICK HERE to complete a short form to share what you, or your business or organisation would like to donate, and we will be in touch with you to arrange delivery or collection.
Natalie Loon, Bfriends Operations and Partnership Manager, said:
“As a charity we are fortunate enough to have many friends, partners, businesses, community organisations and individuals that come together at this time of year. This city-wide campaign is important in enabling us to ensure children have a present on Christmas Day, and care leavers have those important wellness items they need.
By donating on our Virtual Tree to give Birmingham care leavers a magical Christmas Day meal and party, or by providing toys or wellbeing items, you’ll help ensure that our children and young people have what they need to feel included and cared for this Christmas. We thank everyone for being a friend of Bfriends this winter.”
